Urmila Sathyanarayanan is among the most inspired and dedicated Bharatanatyam exponents of her generation. Her dedication to dance is total and Bharatanatyam is richer by her experience, expertise and most importantly devotion.

Urmila Sathyanarayanan is an outstanding performer, institution builder who produces solo performers, group productions and trains passionate youngsters. Her contribution in the field of Bharatanatyam is enormous.
Since her debut in 1976, Urmila has presented dozens of recitals in India and abroad and earned excellent reviews from eminent critics. She has danced in practically every dance festival in India.
